31 January 2004, Palace of Culture
   Every year at the end of January Scotsmen all over the world celebrate Burns Night birthday of one of the most famous and beloved sons of Scotland, the nations favourite poet Robert Burns (1759-1796). On the 31st of January we are going to have a ceilidh in the Palace of Culture to celebrate this event.

   The New Year celebration in Scotland is called Hogmanay, or pagan festival. It is the most important day in the Scottish calendar. Many traditions of celebrating Hogmanay have become a thing of the past, but till now all Scots are sure: New Year should be met in a major!
   The best gift is to celebrate a holiday in the company of friends!

It is the day when the border between the worlds disappears, when the real world and the world of fairies merge into a single whole, when all the laws of time and space are broken. It is one of the major Celtic holidays. On the 2nd of November we are having a Ceilidh devoted to celebration of Samhain.



September 5-14, 2003 Scottish Country Dance Holiday in Russia (Krasnodar) The event of such scale took place in Russia for the first time. Kuban Scottish Dancers welcomed more than 50 visitors from Great Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Spain. Classes with the teachers from all over the world, ceilidhs, balls, live music, songs and new friends one can never forget this!
